Hanan Ali Abbasi has received numerous prestigious awards in recognition of his outstanding contributions to democracy, social work, and youth empowerment. Some of the notable awards and honors include:

  • Commonwealth Youth Award by the UK: Hanan Ali Abbasi is the first Pakistani to receive the Commonwealth Youth Award in the field of Democracy and Social Work. Out of thousands of contestants, he was among the 16 young people nominated from over 54 Commonwealth countries. This accolade, granted by the Commonwealth Secretariat’s Youth Affairs Division, came with a cash grant of 1,000 pounds. Mr. Abbasi dedicates this international recognition to the youth of Pakistan.
  • Nomination for Pakistan’s Civil Award: He has been nominated for a prestigious Civil Award by his province, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), under Article 259(2) of the Constitution of Pakistan, 1973.
  • National Youth Award 2010: The Government of Pakistan honored Mr. Abbasi with the National Youth Award 2010, recognizing his exemplary contributions as the President of the National Youth Assembly (NYA).
  • Quaid-e-Azam Gold Medal: On March 25, 2014, the Nazriya Pakistan Council (NPC) awarded Hanan Ali Abbasi the Quaid-e-Azam Gold Medal for his distinguished services. He was one of 18 Pakistanis recognized for their hard work, passion, and perseverance.
  • Member of High-Profile Working Group, Government of KPK: Mr. Abbasi was appointed as a member of a high-profile working group for the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Tourism in KPK. This group includes other prominent members such as the Minister of Youth, Secretary, MNAs, and MPAs.
  • Other Awards & Mementos: Mr. Abbasi has received mementos from various high-ranking officials and organizations, including the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, Joint Chief of Staff of Pakistan, DG ISPR, Air Chief of Pakistan, Chief of Naval Staff, Speaker of the National Assembly, Core Commander Peshawar, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly (AJK), IG Police Islamabad, Speaker KP Assembly, SAARC Secretariat Islamabad, and the Lord Mayor of Birmingham and Manchester, UK, among others.
  • Azm-e-Alishan Award: Mr. Abbasi was nominated as one of the top twenty achievers in the country by Azm-e-Alishan, a credible talent recognition platform. Other nominees included prominent figures like Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy and Sana Mir.
  • Pakistan Youth Human Rights Award: In recognition of his philanthropic activities and the Hope campaign by the NYA, Mr. Abbasi received the Youth Human Rights Award from the Pakistan International Human Rights Organization, alongside Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai, during a ceremony held on World Human Rights Day.
  • IHH Excellence Award: Awarded by the Turkey-based International Human Rights Organization (I.H.H), Mr. Abbasi received the Best Young Writer Award for his work on earthquake issues.
